On November 28, 2024, the Faculty of Technology hosted a collaborative meeting involving its Dean, Prof. P.K.S.C. Jayasinghe, the Academic staff, the Divisional Secretary of Kamburupitiya,representatives and small-scale industrialists from the Kamburupitiya area.

The discussion focused on how the innovative research and inventions developed by the students of Faculty of Technology could address the needs and challenges faced by local manufacturing industries. It has been agreed to organize future visits to industrial sites to better understand operational needs and foster practical solutions. This initiative underscores the Faculty of Technology's commitment to aligning academic research with real-world applications, aiming to play a vital role in the economic development of country.
