On February 20th, a group of level 3 students from the Department of Engineering Technology visited the "Makandura Tea Factory" to inspect the tea leaf drying process. The Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna successfully conducted “TECHNOSPIRITS 2025”, its second annual staff sports meet, on January 7, 2025. The event featured volleyball, netball, and badminton, aiming to promote staff unity, teamwork, stress management, and an enjoyable start to the new year.

The Faculty of Technology proudly concluded the orientation program for the 8th intake of students, celebrating a successful transition into university life. As part of the program, the students organized and participated in the Bhawa Talent Show, an annual event designed to showcase the creative and artistic abilities of the newest batch.

On 28th November 2024,the Faculty of Technology hosted a collaborative meeting involving its Dean, Prof. P.K.S.C. Jayasinghe,the Academic staff,the Divisional Secretary of Kamburupitiya,representatives and small-scale industrialists in the area.
